Cyber Savvy Governance Professionals

Course
What is this course about?

Just like Spiderman, governance professionals have both great power and great responsibility. Ultimately, they play a key role in ensuring that the institutions societies depend on act responsibly and execute effectively. And just like Peter Parker, secretariats and other governance pros must use their finely-tuned “spidey sense” to navigate an intricate web of challenges, make difficult judgment calls and take care of business.

In today’s world of hyper connectivity – and volatility – helping organizations steer through the digital landscape is particularly challenging. This course will address the tricky questions and tradeoffs that governance professionals encounter in all things cyber, from managing reputational issues to ensuring document security. We’ll not only walk through specific scenarios and case studies but, most importantly, develop confidence using a flexible framework that can serve as a guide for savvy decision-making in many different contexts.

Who should take this course?

This course addresses challenges and opportunities relevant to professionals in a variety of contexts, not just traditional, full-time corporate governance roles. Professionals across a range of sectors and in roles including those similar to chiefs of staff and senior executive assistants or professionals with part-time governance responsibilities will benefit from this course.

Are there any prerequisites?

Absolutely no technical training, background or interest is required – being a cyber savvy professional is not about becoming a technical expert! To get the most out of this course, we do recommend having some prior professional experience and a working knowledge of the fundamental mechanisms for corporate governance and executive management.
