What is this course about?
Go beyond the basics with a more strategic perspective on cross-cutting cyber issues that can have a big impact across different sectors and disciplines. Rather than narrowly focusing on how to address cyber risks, you’ll learn how to actually use common cyber challenges as springboards for opportunity and positive change. By completing “workouts” in between live sessions, you’ll build confidence not just in your comprehension of high-impact cyber issues but in your ability to analyze them from multiple angles and transform them from costs to benefits. And, you’ll leave with practical tools and transferable skills that you can apply on the job in many different contexts.
Who should take this course?
In today’s world we often work and think in silos, missing opportunities to fully flex our amazing brains and come up with new ways of doing things better. This course is ideal for people who don’t just want to understand the basic building blocks of cyber but who want to really use them as tools for creative problem-solving in a range of contexts. We’ll explore how to strategically “zoom in and out” on cross-cutting cyber issues and apply a multi-disciplinary lens to surface new approaches to tough problems.
Are there any prerequisites?
If you want to hone your strategic and creative thinking while learning how to harness stubborn cyber challenges to your advantage, this one’s for you! While not required, you’ll get the most out of this course if you already have a basic understanding of cyber issues and an appreciation for how they show up in different contexts.
How is this course structured?
This course includes five live 90-minute sessions, assigned pre-readings and “workouts” to build your strategic and creative muscles between sessions. For now, we’re keeping it virtual. You’ll get a link to connect for each of the live sessions, where you will participate in an interactive classroom setup.
And how much is it going to cost me?
- Your Time: You’ll be committing to five live 90-minute sessions and roughly 3 hours of pre-reading and workouts per session. Drop us a line if you’d like to sign up for additional coaching outside of live sessions.
- Your Money: 1500 CHF
- Other Resources: For the live sessions, you’ll need a good internet connection and headphones.
